The Story

Kannon (Avalokiteshvara) is widely revered across Buddhist traditions as a compassionate presence who “hears” the cries of the world. Sho ("Noble" or "Holy") Kannon is one of Kannon’s classic forms featured in Japanese Buddhism.

This statue carved from hinoki (Japanese cypress) and finished to keep the wood’s light, clean character. The model follows the established Shō Kannon iconographic type—lotus bud held close, open hand offered forward.

Size: 4.7 in.(H) × 2 in.(W) × 2 in.(D)
